4th January 2011

CHS awarded new management contract

Complete Hotels Services have been awarded a management contract for the 70 bedroom Thurrock Hotel, Aveley just off junction 31 of the M25 and close to Lakeside shopping centre. The management contract will commence on the 4th January 2011 and will see CHS assume responsibility for the complete operations, sales, marketing & representation of the hotel.  Robert Smith, Managing Director - CHS, said, "This is an exciting opportunity for both the owners of the Thurrock Hotel and CHS. The hotel is in an excellent location and we look forward to working with the current staff to move the hotel forward and deliver an excellent product for the corporate, conferencve and function market during 2011. CHS will bring a new level of professionalism and experience to the hotel and have the capacity and knowledge to effectively represent the hotel to the corporate & leisure markets." 

Complete Hotels Services will continue to look for hotel management contract opportunities within the independent sector during 2011 to add to its portfolio of 3 hotels.

4 AA Stars & 1 AA Rosette for the Queens Head Inn

The Queens Head Inn Nassington has been awarded 4 Stars and 1 Rosette by the AA. Paul Smyth, Operations Director of CHS said, "We are delighted with the award and are now aiming at trying to acheive two Rosettes next year."

CHS Appoint Director of Sales


Sharon Crisp has joined CHS as Director of Sales. Sharon was previously sales manager of the Marks Tey Hotel in Colchester and from 2000 until 2009 was the Senior Sales Manager for Paten Hotels.

CHS appoint Operations Director & shareholder

Paul Smyth has been appointed Operations Director and a shareholder in Complete Hotels Services and Completehotels Ltd. Paul has moe than 20 years experience in hotel operations and was most recently a general manager with Paten Hotels and BDL hotels at the 148 bedroom Langstone Hotel, Portsmouth. Robert Smith, Managing Director CHS, said "Paul is a highly experienced and effective operator who will strengthen the management team and has an important role to play as CHS move forward with acquiring properties and management contracts in the next year or two".

Completehotels buys lease on 9 bedroom Inn

Complete Hotels Services and its sister company Completehotels Ltd have taken bought the lease of the Queens Head Inn, Nassington near Peterborough. The Queens Head Inn has 9 bedrooms, a 45 seater restaurant, a function room for 80 and is situated on teh banks of the River Nene 3 miles from the A1M and 15 minutes from the centre of Peterborough. The Inn has recently undergone a refurbishment program and offers an excellent product and a real alternative to large corporate hotels in the area.

CHS awarded management contract of Plough & Harrow Hotel

Complete Hotels Services have been awarded the management contract of the 44 bedroom Plough and Harrow Hotel in Birmingham. Future plans for the hotel include a rolling refurbishment program to return it to a position as one of Birminghams finest independent hotels.
